The team at Mayer Brown advises multinational companies and private equity clients on aspects of the full lifecycle of their multi-jurisdictional transactions, including M&A, divestures, fund formations, partnerships, and capital market transactions. The team works extensively with clients to comply with global tax reform, namely BEPS and reporting requirements. The team is headed by New York-based Jason Bazar , Brian Kittle , Lucas Giardelli , Chicago-based Thomas Kittle-Kamp, and Washington DC-based Jason Osborn . Giardelli’s practice covers international tax planning for US and non-US multinational companies and corporate tax matters, advising clients on the tax aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, financing arrangements and other transactions. Osborn has extensive experience in international tax and transfer pricing planning, specifically focusing on IP planning and tax efficient restructurings. Bazar handles the tax aspects of cross-border and domestic financing transactions, and Kittle and Kittle-Kamp are both tax controversy and litigation specialists. In Washington DC, Kenneth Klein advises clients on structuring and restructuring of multinational corporations in multiple industries, such as software, agricultural, manufacturing, and financial trading, while Gary Wilcox has significant experience with federal tax controversies arising from complex cross-border transactions. Chicago's Jenny Austin supports clients through all stages of tax controversies, from IRS audits to administrative appeals, alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and litigation. Sonal Majmudar joined the Washington DC team in 2023 from the IRS.
