Akin’s real estate department handles development, acquisitions, sales, and financings, and leasing for a range of properties. Data center development, from designs through to construction, also represent a core area of expertise, with other areas of experience extending to areas such as hospitality and distribution. John Bain co-leads the team from Dallas, bringing expertise in transactions and restructuring especially in hotels, resorts, and leisure asset classes. Fellow co-head Marc Epstein is known for his experience on real estate transactions, deal structuring, and negotiations, as well as his data center expertise. Together, they advise a number of REITs, private equity groups, and investment funds, in addition to family offices, developers, and operators.
